VINSSEN Establishes Eco-Friendly Vessel Technology Partnership with India's HSL Shipyard and LWT

- Exclusive partnership established to supply Korea's top engineering technology to India's maritime vessel industry.

On September 3rd (Tuesday), VINSSEN Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for a strategic alliance aimed at enhancing eco-friendly vessel technology in India with HSL (Hindustan Shipyard Limited) and LWT (Lotus Wireless Technologies).

VINSSEN, a leader in eco-friendly maritime mobility solutions, has entered into an exclusive partnership with HSL, one of the shipyards under the Indian Ministry of Defence, and LWT, a provider of port industrial automation technologies.

This partnership aims to secure capabilities for innovation and sustainability in the eco-friendly maritime industry. The companies aspire to lead the eco-friendly vessel sector based on their differentiated technological strengths.

HSL will provide extensive expertise in ship manufacturing, while LWT will supply battery and maritime charging system technologies. VINSSEN will be responsible for supplying cutting-edge hydrogen fuel cell propulsion or battery propulsion systems based on Korea's design and engineering excellence.

Cmde Hemant Khatri, Chairman of HSL, stated, "With this partnership, we can now offer advanced technology for eco-friendly vessels. We expect to lead India's eco-friendly vessel market and transform the future of the maritime industry."

Mr. Maninder Singh, CMD of LWT, expressed, "Through our partnership with VINSSEN, we are integrating Korea's top engineering into India's maritime industry. Over the next decade, we will provide comprehensive maintenance support, ensuring long-term reliability and operational excellence."

Lee Chil-han, CEO of VINSSEN, remarked, "We are pleased to introduce our hydrogen fuel cell and battery propulsion technologies to the Indian vessel market through our collaboration with HSL and LWT. We are confident that we will establish a new benchmark for eco-friendly vessel technology in India."

He further emphasized, "This partnership aligns with the Indian government's 'Make in India' and 'Green India' initiatives. It not only showcases the strengths of Korean technology but also lays the groundwork for sustainable mutual cooperation through a long-term partnership."

Meanwhile, VINSSEN will participate in the world's largest gas and energy industry exhibition, 'Gastech 2024,' held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, USA, from September 17 to 20. The company aims to promote eco-friendly maritime propulsion systems that transition from fossil fuels to a zero-carbon regime in maritime transport. Additionally, VINSSEN plans to analyze energy export and import trends and competitiveness among countries to explore new market entry strategies and opportunities, as well as seek partnerships through business networking with global companies.
